Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
Robert William Stevenson,(12-03-82) Having completed his mission on Earth, went to meet our Lord on May 3, 2007. He was a fun-loving, light of encouragement to all of those around him. Rob loved the Lord and people. He was particularly gentle with children and the elderly, never able to do enough for them. Rob leaves a family that loves him and a host of friends and acquaintances, for he never met a stranger, to join the angels. He was passionate, obsessive, and compulsive and we loved him for it. His favorite things while growing up were clowning around, singing, hangin’ with his friends and being involved in family things. Rob’s grandparents, parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins were extremely important to him. The first few years of Rob’s life were physically challenging, yet, he overcame. He became an adolescent with a lot of anger issues, questioning why sickness happened to him. With God’s help, he overcame. When a teenager, a spirit of "what will I do with my life" approached, he pondered and became a horticulture student, finding glory in God’s creation. This brings us to his early twenties where he made choices of independence and a career in food service. Though he was afraid, he ventured off, states away, to become as we knew him, clowning around with friends, encouraging the downhearted and passionate about his work in culinary arts, missing his family and planning his future. God also had a plan and Rob is now home with him in the company of loved ones that have gone on before. We grieve for us but there are also tears of joy as we are assured, his loving spirit, by the grace and mercy of God, rests with Jesus. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Friday, May 11, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the funeral home. Aaron Kemple will be officiating with interment at Sunset Cemetery.

Miss Me -- But Let Me Go

Unknown

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little--but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me--but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me--But Let me Go!
